Her skin is bronzed and her face is freckled from growing up under the desert sun. Her hair is always getting in her eyes. She does have a magitek-like prosthetic left leg, from above the knee down, and it is sometimes visible (if her outfit in-game would show it, it's visible ICly). She walks on it very naturally, but to a keen ear her footsteps sound a little different even if her boots hide her feet's appearance. And if you get close enough to her person, she usually smells of sun-warmed citrus, delicate but pleasant florals, and worn-in leather.(I'm bad at choosing a voice claim, don't ask me!)

Are you a regular customer? Needing to hire someone to obtain something you can't do yourself, or in a dangerous area? + Emyn's family is half Gridanian, half Ishgardian. Her grandfather left Ishgard when he was still relatively young, under some... potentially questionable circumstances. This caused some problems for Emyn a little while back when visiting Ishgard, including an unlawful (and thankfully short) stint in the gaols and a trial by combat that someone attempted to throw. She is still trying to find leads on who would want her falsely arrested, and why? And how can she pin the obviously corrupt Inquisitor in the middle of all this? So - think you can help?+ Emyn will be traveling to Tural with her free company for story-based reasons. While she's here, there's opportunity! Maybe you're a fellow traveller, discovering this "new" continent? Maybe you're a local with contacts or resources she could use? Maybe you need a strong sword arm for something, and Emyn is easily spotted in a crowd? Maybe we find ourselves bumping - or crashing - into one another in the best/worst possible time?!+ Emyn's family shop, described above, occasionally hires adventurers. When she's available, Emyn can often handle these herself, but sometimes it's best to have a helping hand or two to come along... Common contracts include guarding a botanist in a dangerous area as they gather herbs, killing a creature or number of creatures in order to harvest some part for reagents or ingredients, or acting as bodyguard when an employee travels abroad to secure a new business deal. These can be stand-alone short stories, or they can become a springboard for a larger, more involved campaign. At the least, it's an easy way for our characters to meet.

Hi, I'm Lindsay! I just turned old, and I am based in EST in the US. I enjoy playing a variety of video games, as well as board games and ttrpgs, reading sci-fi/fantasy, drinking coffee and tea, discovering music of all sorts, and maybe some other shiny things.I have been playing FFXIV since early Shadowbringers. This is my first MMO, and the first game where I have dipped my toes into RP, but I have been playing ttrpgs for many years. I am a mostly casual player who enjoys slow leveling, taking screenshots, running the jumping puzzles, mucking around with housing decor, and doing other random stuff the game has to offer while hanging out in vc with friends. For Dawntrail, I am actually trying out doing current-level EX trials! So far it's fun!I work for myself and make my own schedule, but generally I am available in-game in the evenings, and over discord throughout the day. I usually prefer to RP in-game, especially for a first meeting, but discord can be useful, too. I try to stick to shorter scenes in discord, though, because it is easy for me to lose track or forget to reply, regardless of interest level. My brain gets in the way, sorry. (Thus why I prefer in-game. I know how I am.)Yes, I do use Mare! Please ask to share codes, and make it into a conversation why don't you! I don't like to share my code with strangers :)On that note, please don't be afraid to send me a message about literally whatever - I am all about proper communication concerning plot ideas, plans for the future, scheduling and the impacts of real life, comfort zones, triggers and taboos, and any problems or conflicts that may arise. + Slice of life / Action / Mystery / Dark / Comedy / Drama / Hurt & comfort / Fluffy stories. Really, just about any kind of story! I enjoy traipsing about in the woods as much as I enjoy sitting around with a drink and a good conversation.
+ Romance??? It is on the table, but generally I am not interested in rushing things. Slow burn is best! Make it juicy and tense and tangible in the air, you know? If there's chemistry, I am all for exploring it (and discussing things OOCly), but know that it won't happen immediately.
Please note, IC =/= OOC! This shouldn't have to be said! Any relationship rp I get into should be something that adds to our characters' stories, and isn't just there for the sake of it.
+ Dawntrail: Emyn does have excuses to be in Tural, so stories to be told in the New World are entirely doable. (Please note that she will find the concept of the regulators abhorrent, so if your character uses them, be warned, it will cause conflict once she learns what they do.)- NOT just looking for erp. Sorry! If it's something the characters both want, I'm not opposed to sex (and Emyn ICly can be rather casual about it), but it should never be the driver of the characters' interactions. I'm looking for story first and foremost! Explicit scenes are not my goal here.
- NOT looking to engage in any way with anyone under the age of 21. Listen, I'm too old for this shit, okay?
- NOT looking for rp with WoLs, actual voidsent or ascians, or lorebreaking people/creatures. Lorebending is okay, and if you have an interesting idea that still fits in well with the spirit of the world and its established lore, I'm certainly willing to hear your pitch - but if it belongs in another universe, please keep it there.
- Also, I just... I have seen a lot of voidsent based stories, and I would love a chance to do other things.
